At The Six, form follows feeling. Every surface, curve, and material is deliberately composed to create a spatial rhythm - quietly guiding how the body settles, how time slows, how care begins.

Founders Story

Marcos Verissimo

Hailing from Brazil, Marcos Verissimo honed his craft in some of the world’s most prestigious salons while working with a discerning roster of private clients. Regularly called upon as a leading stylist for iconic events such as the Oscars and the Cannes Film Festival, he has earned an international reputation for excellence. Through years of global experience, Marcos recognised a shift in London’s salon culture, spaces that felt transactional rather than inviting. With his deep understanding of hair, an intuitive grasp of client expectations, and a lifelong appreciation for art and design, he set out to reimagine the salon experience. The result is The Six: a refined, creative space in the heart of Mayfair. Guided by humility and purpose, Marcos has cultivated not just a salon, but a community, where talent, taste, and conversation naturally converge.

What inspired you to start The Six?

I wanted to create a space that felt considered and elevated, but still warm and welcoming, somewhere clients and stylists alike would genuinely look forward to being. The Six is about more than hair; it’s about connection, artistry, and care in every detail.

How did your journey in hair begin?

I started cutting hair in Brazil when I was just a teenager. What began as something instinctive, cutting friends' and family’s hair - quickly became a passion. I’ve worked in Paris, London, and beyond, but the joy of transforming how someone feels about themselves has never changed.

What makes The Six different?

We take our time. Every appointment is intentional, and every stylist here is chosen not only for their technical skill, but their character. There’s a shared energy and thoughtfulness behind what we do - people feel it the moment they walk in.

How do you approach a new client consultation?

I listen first. I want to understand how someone lives, how they style their hair, what they’ve loved and disliked in the past. Great hair isn’t just about trend or technique, it’s about how it makes someone feel every day.

What does beauty mean to you?

It’s personal. It’s not about symmetry or perfection, it’s how someone carries themselves, how they express who they are. My role is to help bring that out in a way that feels true to them.

What’s one hair rule you always break?

I don’t believe in rigid rules. Texture, length, colour, it should all be adapted to the individual. If something ‘unexpected’ works and makes someone feel amazing, then that’s the right choice.

Where do you find creative inspiration?

Everywhere. I’m constantly observing, architecture, nature, fashion, music, even people on the street. But I’m most inspired by the person in my chair. That one-on-one moment always brings something new.

What’s next for The Six?

Growth that feels organic. More education, creative collaborations, maybe even a second space one day. But the priority will always be maintaining the integrity of what we’ve built here.
